Milner appeared to yell at VVD, the centre defender, “You go f***ing out to him,” after Sancho’s goal that both players might have felt bad about.

The two also appeared to be yelling at one another as Liverpool attempted to win the game after the break.

When Milner ducked to shoot, Sancho deftly swapped feet, knocked Milner to the ground, and then stroked the ball into the corner.

Instead of rushing to shut the gap that had opened up for Sancho, Van Dijk chose to remain in place at the edge of the six-yard box.

In order to prevent any danger of a handball, VVD actually put his hands behind his back.

Even though he couldn’t get near enough for a challenge, Milner supposedly believed the Dutchman should have tried to narrow the angle for England winger Sancho.
