Ralf Rangnick is battling a schism in the Manchester United dressing room that threatens to wreck the team’s season.

At Old Trafford, a division is forming, with the feeling that some players are being given preferential treatment despite their awful form.

“The players have their own clusters,” a source claimed, “and one of them is making the others feel like they need to step up a level while the whole squad is failing.”

The players are down on their luck.

“It’s likely that the fans believe the players aren’t physically capable of carrying out Rangnick’s intentions.

“That is completely false. Certain players have just lost their aptitude and passion. Furthermore, there is a feeling among certain members of the squad that some players are chosen regardless of their performance.

“As a result, everything is in disarray.”

United players, who have been given two days off after playing three games in eight days during the Christmas period, have publicly admitted that Antonio Conte should’ve been hired before he joined Tottenham.

They also anticipate Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, to take over in the summer.

Rangnick, 63, will remain in charge until the conclusion of the season and is expected to take on a consulting position this summer.
