Prince Charles spoke of William’s “increasing devotion to the environment” and his “bold ambition” in a rare and touching public message of support ahead of tonight’s award ceremony for William’s Earthshot Prize.

‘As a world, we need to come together to inspire, reimagine, and build the sustainable future we so desperately need,’ Charles continued. The Earthshot Prize and its inspired nominees will help us identify new solutions over the next decade, keeping future generations in mind.’

Last year, the prize was established to find new methods to address the world’s challenges.

Charles has started his own Terra Carta/Sustainable Markets initiative, with the goal of spending “trillions of dollars” to help businesses transition to more environmentally friendly practices.

Last week, Charles revealed that his 51-year-old Aston Martin had been modified to operate on leftover wine and cheese whey.

Speednewsbank on Sunday has discovered that Prince William has had an electric car charging station constructed at Kensington Palace.

It was ‘the initial part of a scheme to put charging points over the entire Royal estate,’ according to a source.

After a televised welcome from the London Eye, Prince William will conduct an awards event tonight to give five environmental entrepreneurs £1 million each to help them grow their enterprises.
