Jurgen Klopp’s team were scheduled to travel to the Emirates on the 6th of January which was Thursday, but the match was postponed on the 5th of January that is Wednesday afternoon owing to a large COVID outbreak at Liverpool.

The London game has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 20.

When the Anfield match takes place as planned on Thursday, January 13, Liverpool will now host the first leg of the game rather than the second.

The away goals rule was abolished 3 years ago in the League Cup semi-finals.

If the aggregate scores are tied at the completion of the second leg, the match will be played in additional time at the Emirates, followed by a penalty shoot-out if no winner can be established.
