A lecturer has been arrested and charged with luring a female student into his bedroom to rewrite her exam at 8.30 p.m. in order to have sex with her.

Authorities have charged the rogue instructor with criminal intimidation, sexual harassment, and examination malpractices, among other things.

Adewole was apprehended by the State Intelligence Bureau after he threatened to fail the student in question if she refused to have sex with him in September 2021.

Sections 397 and 95 of the Penal Code Law, as well as Section 3(320) of the Examination Malpractices Act Cap. E15 Law of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, are stated to be violated by his actions.

To acquire evidence against Adewole, police simply urged the victim to comply with his requests and enter his room while they lurked in key areas to arrest him.

The defendant allowed the victim to rewrite her exam on the condition that she have sex with him all night, according to the Kwara State Federation of International Women Lawyers (FIDA), a party to the lawsuit.

“The lecturer thereafter lured the student into his bedroom around 8.30 pm on Taoheed Road, Basin area, Ilorin, where he gave her a new question paper and answer script of KWASU to rewrite her exam with a promise to have sexual intercourse with her till daybreak.

“The suspect was, however, apprehended in the process by detectives from the SIB, who were hiding at a location,” FIDA said as quoted by Lindaikejisblog.com.
