Last month, Mathias Pogba vowed to disclose “exclusive information”  against the Juventus midfielder that might harm his “popularity around the world.”

The World Cup champion Mbappe was then brought up, and he said that his brother had hired a witch doctor to cast a hex on the forward.

Pogba claimed he was the subject of a £11 million blackmail attempt by his childhood buddies after the 32-year-old’s outburst.

In an effort to connect with Mbappe, Mathias tweeted:  “Kylian, now do you understand? I have nothing negative against you, my words are for your good, everything is true and proven, the marabou is known!

“Sorry to this brother, a so called Muslim deep in witchcraft, it’s never good to have a hypocrite and a traitor near you!”

The Les Parisiens star was made aware of the issue by his strange claims, where it was implied he was prepared to intervene if necessary.

Then it was revealed that Mbappe had called Mathias and Paul to inquire about the accusations.

He was curious as to why he had been mentioned in the incident and wanted to hear both men’s perspectives to better comprehend the circumstances.

Mbappe finally spoke out about the incident and said he has decided to believe his Les Bleus teammate.

In his pre-match press conference before PSG’s Champions League match against Juventus on Tuesday he stated: “I don’t think it will alter my relationship with him.”

“As of today, I prefer to trust the word of a team-mate. He called me, he gave me his version of the story and as of today, it is his word against his brother’s word.

“So I will trust my team-mate, in the best of interest of the national team as well. We have a big competition coming up.

“He has some issues at the moment so it is not the moment to add to them for him and that’s it.

“We will see what happens. I am pretty detached about it.”
