KOD

Producers of the Superman cartoon series have been chastised by KOD for making the fictional superhero a bisexual figure. The action has been regarded as “worrying” by the ace TV/Radio host.

KOD, whose full name is Kofi Okyere Darko, claims that he isn’t concerned about people’s sexual orientation because homosexuality has been there for a long time, but that putting it on children and society is something he can’t bear.

The Man of Steel, a new character in the future issue of the “Superman” book, will be in a homosexual relationship and will be seen dating a male reporter in the film, according to the producers of the iconic cartoon series DC Comics, Inc.

Although the plot of the issue will not be disclosed until November, photos from the comic depict Kent and Nakamura kissing and sitting together atop a structure. The cartoon depiction of both characters has now sparked an internet controversy regarding the children’s series.

Latest Superman is bisexual… I sincerely have no challenge with whatever people choose to do with their ‘sexuality’ but forcing it on society is one thing I can’t stand,” KOD said in a Facebook post.

He continued that “be gay or whatever, I just don’t wanna know. As children, we never saw these images on television; it didn’t mean that they didn’t exist… It’s always been here with us but this intentional push on us is worrying… Have we lost?

According to the fashion designer, “we might tolerate them but they should not put these in our face“.

Series writer Tom Taylor, on the other hand, argued that the new Superman’s evolution is consistent with the values that the character has always represented — and, more importantly, reflects the experiences of many comic fans.

Superman’s symbol has always stood for hope, for truth and for justice,” Taylor said in a statement. “Today, that symbol represents something more. Today, more people can see themselves in the most powerful superhero in comics.”
