Cristiano Ronaldo has been praised by Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot, who has revealed three things he has learned from him in training.

Prior to the striker’s move to Old Trafford last year, the 23-year-old right-back played alongside him for Portugal on international duty.

However, he has remarked that regularly exercising with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has had a significant impact on the Red Devils’ young players.

In February, Dalot revealed that Ronaldo taught him how to drink coffee as part of his pre-match routine.

The former AC Milan loanee has recently spoken about how being around the Real Madrid icon has changed his mindset.

He told Sky Sports: “I’m sure I speak not just for me but he’s been one of the most positive things about this season.

“To work with somebody who has his culture of working, his professionalism, his mentality and being close to him now… it’s been very helpful for me and my career.

“I don’t have any more compliments to give about the way he works, he’s a fantastic human being as well.

“The numbers are there, the stats are there, so we’re obviously very happy to have him here.”

Anthony Elanga has praised Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored 18 Premier League goals this season, calling him a “special player to work with.”

He told United’s website, Elanga said: “You can see his record and the amount of goals he’s scored.

“He knows what it takes to get to the top so it’s more than right to just speak to someone like that.

“And yeah, we have a chat the day before or even during a game. You might see us in the warm-up.

“He’ll speak to me and Sancho together about what we can do in the game, to affect the games – and it’s important to have someone like that in the team.

“He is someone I look up to and speak to and ask for advice and stuff. He is a special player to work with.”
