After the 5-0 loss, the midfielder was rumored to be weighing his future, but he has come out battling over false tabloid claims.

Paul Pogba has reacted to allegations of a gap between him and Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as well as claims that he has suspended contract talks with the club.

After a 5-0 loss to Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, in which the midfielder was sent off immediately after coming on as a half-time substitute, the Frenchman was said to be considering his future at Old Trafford.

Pogba, on the other hand, has dismissed the reports on social media, calling them “fake news.”

The player placed a message saying “Fake news” on top of a screenshot of a story headlined “Pogba snubbed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Man Utd’s loss to Liverpool and shelving contract discussions.”

Pogba also included the message: “Big lies to make headlines.”

“Tabloid press wants to create polemic with 100% phony news once again,” the former Juventus player wrote on Instagram. To make headlines, big lies are told. Journalists who utilize my name to draw attention to themselves when there is nothing to draw attention to.

“The only reason I address this b****s. is out of respect to my coach, club and fans to send a clear message: the less you read these people the better you are, they have no shame and will say just anything with no basis AT ALL.”

When United has had a bad run of form, the 2018 World Cup champion has been a target of criticism, and he has been linked with a move away from the club.

Indeed, his agent, Mino Raiola, has never been shy about implying that his client may go, with the most recent suggestion coming in September, when the Italian revealed that “Turin is still in Pogba’s heart.”

Following the Liverpool humiliation, criticism of Pogba, who is under contract until 2022, has increased, with former United midfielder Paul Scholes calling the Frenchman “disrespectful.”

“You’d have to consider, if Ole’s still the manager there, will we see Pogba in a United shirt again?” Scholes said. Over the previous few years, he’s wreaked havoc. Everyone recognizes his talent, and everyone, including his manager, has tried to remove his head and allow him to continue to be the player he has been.
